I co-founded Tactical Mind Solutions with the belief that effective mental health treatment should go beyond symptom reduction. Our goal is to help patients restore adaptive functioning, emotional resilience, cognitive flexibility, and the ability to live and work with greater clarity, stability, and purpose.
At Tactical Mind Solutions and Kinetic Medical Consultants, we provide an integrative, physician-led approach to trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, occupational burnout, moral injury, grief, and performance-related challenges. EMDR is a central part of our clinical work, but it is not the only tool we use. We combine EMDR therapy with modern neuroscience-informed care, including neuromodulation, ketamine-assisted therapy, nervous system regulation, and structured psychological integration. Treatment is individualized rather than protocol-driven, with careful attention to how each person’s nervous system, attachment history, occupational demands, medical factors, and life experiences have shaped their current symptoms.
Our work is grounded in Francine Shapiro’s Adaptive Information Processing model and informed by current research in trauma, affective neuroscience, memory reconsolidation, autonomic regulation, and performance psychology. We are also actively involved in clinical research, including investigational work involving neuromodulation, breathwork, light-based interventions, ketamine-assisted therapy, and psychedelic-assisted models of care. This allows our practice to remain both clinically grounded and forward-looking, integrating established evidence-based therapies with emerging approaches in a thoughtful, ethical, and medically responsible way.
What makes our practice unique is the combination of psychotherapy, psychiatry, neuroscience, and real-world performance expertise. We work with adults from many backgrounds, including physicians, executives, pilots, military personnel, veterans, first responders, entrepreneurs, and other high-responsibility professionals. Many of our patients are outwardly high-functioning and deeply competent, yet internally overwhelmed, emotionally depleted, or carrying unresolved trauma. We understand the unique pressures of people who are expected to perform, lead, decide, protect, or remain composed under stress.
Our approach is collaborative, practical, and deeply individualized. Depending on the patient’s needs, EMDR may be used as a primary treatment or integrated with ketamine-assisted therapy, neuromodulation, mindfulness-based practices, cognitive and behavioral interventions, somatic regulation, parts-informed work, and structured integration sessions. We are especially interested in helping patients move from survival-based coping into more adaptive patterns of thinking, feeling, relating, and performing.
Ultimately, our goal is not simply to help patients feel less distressed. It is to help them recover access to who they are beneath the burden of chronic stress, trauma, depression, or anxiety, and to support lasting change in their health, relationships, work, and overall quality of life.
