Hi there! I’m Elena Engle, LMHC-S.
I am an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trainer, Approved Consultant, and Certified EMDR Therapist licensed in Florida and North Carolina.
For more than fifteen years, I have worked with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the many ways overwhelming experiences can continue to influence the present. I believe people are often far more resilient than they realize, and that healing becomes possible when the nervous system is given the opportunity to process what it has been carrying.
EMDR became central to my work because it allows people to move beyond insight alone. Many clients already understand their experiences. What they are seeking is movement, relief, and the ability to engage with life differently. EMDR helps create that possibility.
In addition to providing therapy, I work extensively with EMDR therapists through consultation, certification, and training. I enjoy helping clinicians strengthen both their understanding of EMDR and their confidence in themselves as therapists. Consultation is often as much about developing clinical judgment and trust in your own process as it is about learning the protocol.
