Nicholas Rose is a UK based psychotherapist registered with the UKCP and an EMDR therapist approved by the EMDRIA working with adults both individually and their relationships; offering personal therapy both Online and In Person.
Since starting in private practice in 2006, his patients have brought concerns such as bereavements and loss, anxiety, panic attacks, unhappiness, loneliness, disappointment, depression, compulsive behaviours, sex and relationship issues, bipolar and anxiety disorders, neurodiversity, dyslexia and ADHD.
Nicholas’s practice also includes seven years experience of working with organisations providing therapy to survivors of human rights violations, torture; including refugees where multiple losses can combine with live changing injuries and traumatising experiences that require slow and careful therapy. People often bring CPTSD, PTSD, physical symptoms where there is no medical diagnosis available and psychosis.
Nicholas has worked with relationships, including gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD), where concerns have included infidelity, sexual concerns, fertility, parenting, violence and abuse, compulsivity, communication problems, separation, divorce, depression, mediation and loss. Nicholas is also the author of Better Together, a book about relationships based on his work as a relationship therapist.
In our EMDR therapy sessions, you will find a supportive environment where your experiences and feelings are not only seen but deeply validated. As we move through each phase, from history-taking to the reprocessing of memories, you’ll find that EMDR not only acknowledges your experiences but actively works to transform them, fostering healing and empowerment. I am used to offering therapy on an intensive basis (for example over a full day, weekend or retreat basis) and am available to travel internationally where need arises.
