I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 6 years of experience. I graduated from Marshall University with my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2014. I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. I utilize EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy) on adults and I specialize working with children up to 10 that suffer from trauma and/ or emotional dysregulation. I incorporate a trauma informed approach with my clients and always have an open mind.
I utilize play and art therapy to observe and gain insight into a child’s problem. I can then help the child explore emotions and deal with unresolved trauma. I have and will always have a passion for children. I also use motivational interviewing as I want that child to feel empowered. Our lives can be chaotic, I can be an additional safe person in that child’s life.
